1. India successfully test-fired its nuclear-capable Dhanush ballistic missile from a naval ship off Odisha coast on Saturday.

2. Vietnam has offered to give ONGC Videsh Ltd five offshore oil and gas exploration areas in South China Sea and its Kossor block in Uzbekistan without bidding, the Indian company said.

3. The Prakruthi Samrakshana Samithi, a leading environmental organisation here, has said that undiluted implementation of the Gadgil committee report is the only solution for the protection of the Western Ghats.

4. The death toll from two huge blasts caused by a leaked oil from a ruptured pipeline in an eastern Chinese port city has risen to 44 with 166 injured in one the country’s worst industrial accidents of the year.
